Last fall, despite moving and having somewhat limited funds, I had the opportunity to go to a class event where we were learning how to make quilted sneakers. I’ve been obsessed ever since and can’t wait to make more, and I’m also aiming to get into making more durable soling over the injection mold style that this pattern is meant to go with. I think the earlier leather turn shoe style would go great with this.
This was my first go with bias binding, and my friend Hope taught me how to do the quilting part which is why that is so even.
El otoño pasado, a pesar de mudarme y tener recursos algo limitados, tuve la oportunidad de asistir a un evento de clase donde aprendimos a hacer zapatillas acolchadas. Desde entonces estoy obsesionade y no puedo esperar para hacer más. También quiero empezar a hacer suelas más duraderas, en lugar del estilo de moldeado por inyección para el que está pensado este patrón. Creo que el estilo más antiguo de zapatos de cuero volteado quedaría muy bien con esto.
Esta fue mi primera vez usando cinta al bies, y mi amigue Hope me enseñó la parte del acolchado, por eso quedó tan uniforme.
